Simple process. Proven results.
Four phases, from recommendations to results. Every one of them ends in something you can act on, and the last one is the one most consultancies skip. Here's exactly what happens, in what order, and what you hold at the end of each.
Diagnose
We start with the Modern Readiness Assessment: a structured look at where your work actually happens, where it breaks, and what it costs you. We interview the people doing the work rather than only the people describing it, benchmark performance against what's achievable, and assess whether your data and systems can support the change you want.
The output is uncomfortable on purpose. Most diagnostics flatter the client. This one names what isn't working and what it's costing, because a business case built on a polite diagnosis falls apart the moment it meets a budget committee.
A readiness scorecard, a ranked list of gaps and opportunities, and a prioritized roadmap — yours to keep whether or not you hire us.
Typical duration: Days to two weeks, depending on scope.
Design
We define the future state and build the business case for reaching it — costed, sequenced, and tied to metrics that already exist in your reporting so progress is visible without a new dashboard.
Design is done with the implementers in the room. Plans built by strategists alone tend to assume away the hard parts, and the hard parts are where the value is. Every recommendation is stress-tested against the question: who specifically will do this, starting when?
An ROI-backed business case, a build-versus-buy recommendation, a sequenced implementation plan with named owners, and the success metrics you'll be held to.
Typical duration: Two to four weeks.
Implement
We execute — either directly, or alongside your team, or by managing the vendors doing the building. Which of those it is depends on what you have internally, and we'll tell you honestly if you don't need us for this part.
We work in short cycles with something demonstrable at the end of each. The first measurable result lands inside 90 days on most engagements. If it can't, we'll say so before you sign rather than discovering it together in month five.
Working systems and processes in production, impact tracked against the baseline we set in Phase 01, and documentation your team can actually use.
Typical duration: 60–120 days per initiative.
Sustain
This is the phase that separates a result from a report. We transfer ownership deliberately: coaching your internal champion, documenting the runbooks, and putting a governance model in place for the decisions that come after us.
Then we leave. We check back at 90 days to catch drift while it's still cheap to fix. If you want us for the next thing, we're glad to come back — but the engagement is designed so you don't need to.
Trained owners, documented playbooks, a governance model for future decisions, and a 90-day check-in on the calendar.
Typical duration: Two to four weeks, plus the check-in.
If we don't find measurable value,
you don't pay for the finding.
Phase 01 is where we decide together whether there's a real opportunity here. If the assessment doesn't surface a viable, ROI-backed case for change, it's on us — and you keep the roadmap regardless.
Frequently asked questions.
What makes your consulting different?
Three things. We're technology agnostic and take no vendor commissions, so our recommendation isn't shaped by what we resell. We do execution, not just advisory — the engagement isn't finished until something works. And we're built to leave: we transfer capability deliberately instead of creating dependency.
Do you only work with large companies?
No. We work with founder-led businesses through to established mid-market and enterprise organizations. What matters more than size is whether there's a decision-maker who can actually authorize change. Without that, no engagement works — at any scale.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on scope. A focused diagnostic can run in days. A single initiative from diagnosis through implementation typically runs one quarter. Multi-department programs run longer. We scope to your pace, and we'd rather do one thing completely than five things partially.
What does it cost?
Engagements are scoped and priced individually, because pretending otherwise would mean either overcharging simple work or underdelivering complex work. The first call is free and ends with enough clarity for you to know roughly what you're looking at.
Will we stay in control of our operations?
Yes, entirely. We integrate into your workflows while you set direction and priorities. We're accountable for delivery, not for your decisions — and we'll tell you when we think you're making the wrong one.
What if we already tried this and it failed?
That's one of the more common reasons people call us, and it's useful information rather than a mark against you. A stalled effort usually left behind data, partial infrastructure, and a clear record of what didn't work. Phase 01 often starts by figuring out why the last attempt stalled.
Do you resell software or take vendor commissions?
No. We hold no vendor partnerships that pay us and we don't resell licenses. If the best answer is a tool you can buy directly for a fraction of a custom build, that's what we'll tell you.
Phase one is free.
30 minutes to start. You'll leave with a readiness scorecard and a prioritized roadmap — whether or not we ever work together.
