We get in, deliver, and get out.
Think Modern exists because of a specific frustration: the gap between what consultancies recommend and what actually gets built. We were tired of watching good analysis die in a slide deck.
Think Modern started from years of watching the same pattern repeat: a company invests in transformation, receives a thorough and expensive recommendation, and eighteen months later almost nothing has changed.
The analysis usually wasn't wrong. What was missing was anyone accountable for making it real — and a structure that rewarded the consultancy for staying rather than for finishing.
So we built the opposite. Tight scopes. Execution included. A deliberate handover, because an engagement that leaves your team unable to continue without us hasn't succeeded, it's just deferred the problem and billed for it.
Technology is the easy part
Most modernization failures are organizational, not technical. Who owns it, whose job changes, and whether anyone measured the before. That's where we spend our time.
Simple beats sophisticated
The impressive answer and the right answer are rarely the same. We'd rather hand you a process you can explain to your team in one sentence than an architecture that needs us to maintain it.
Eliminate before you automate
Automating a wasteful process produces waste faster and more expensively. The order matters more than the tooling.
Recommend what's best, not what pays
We hold no vendor partnerships that compensate us and we resell nothing. If the answer is a tool you can buy directly for a fraction of a custom build, we'll say so.
Leave capability behind
The measure of a good engagement is whether your team can run it without us afterward. Dependency is a business model, not a service.
No handoff to a junior team.
Consulting is bought from people, not brands. The person you meet on the first call is the person who does the work — no account managers, no bait and switch after the pitch.
Book a call and find outThe rules we hold ourselves to.
We'll tell you when you don't need us
Some problems don't require outside help, and some companies aren't ready for the change they're asking about. Saying so costs us a project and earns a referral. We've made that trade repeatedly.
We scope tightly
Open-ended retainers reward slowness. We scope to a defined outcome with a defined end, and if we finish early, that's the point.
We measure the before
You can't claim improvement without a baseline. Phase one always establishes one, which occasionally reveals the problem was smaller than assumed. We report that too.
We put the guarantee in writing
If the assessment doesn't surface a viable, ROI-backed opportunity, you don't pay for it — and you keep the roadmap. It's in the engagement letter, not just on the website.
Let's find out if we're a fit.
30 minutes, no pitch. If we're not the right help, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
